Metrics and data availability
Know what your LinkedIn data includes.
Linkedlytics reports on the data available for the selected profiles and periods. Use these definitions to keep observed results, calculated metrics, and interpretations distinct.

01
What your profile can show
Connected accounts and tracked profiles can supply different information. A metric that exists for an authorised personal profile may not be available for a company profile or another tracked profile.
These product pages focus on organic content and observed audience activity. They do not promise LinkedIn Ads analytics, complete viewer identities, or a full historical archive for every profile.
02
Understand each metric
A dashboard, an exported field, and a custom calculation can use different definitions. Keep the field name, scope, and formula attached to the result.

| Metric | Meaning | Important limit |
|---|---|---|
| Impressions | Reported content displays. | May include repeated displays to one person. |
| Members reached | A distinct reach measure where supplied. | Not interchangeable with impressions. |
| Reactions, comments, reposts | Recorded activity of the stated type. | Multiple actions can come from the same person. |
| Visible-interaction rate by impressions | (Reactions + comments + reposts) ÷ impressions × 100. | Excludes clicks, saves, and sends; may differ from app or native rates. |
| Unique engagers | Distinct people observed in the selected scope. | Do not sum per-post unique counts to infer unique monthly people. |
| ICP match | Assessment of available profile information against your criteria. | Can be incomplete or incorrect; not revenue attribution. |
| First-time engagement | First observed engagement in the available history. | Earlier uncollected activity may exist. |
| Custom score | A configurable weighting of metrics. | Scores are meaningful only with the same configuration. |
03
Check dates and freshness
Activity can continue after a post’s publication date. A report for an older period can change when the source supplies updated figures. Check the latest successful collection and connection health when reviewing a result.
Historical coverage depends on available source data and collection history. Missing information should remain missing; it is not automatically a zero. Do not compare a fresh post with a mature post without considering their observation windows.
05
Engagement and revenue
Reach, engagement, and audience fit can help you decide what to investigate. Pipeline and revenue require additional evidence linking an outcome to the content and an agreed attribution method.
AI-generated summaries should cite the available data and identify uncertainty. Review important calculations and claims before presenting them as findings.
